Man got his nose bitten in attack at Beaconsfield Services


MAN had his nose bitten in an assault at a gas station.

The incident happened at around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday December 19 when a 20-year-old man was assaulted.

He was standing with his friend in front of the Beaconsfield service entrance on the M40 westbound.

During the assault, the assailant tore off a piece of his nose.

Thames Valley Police are now appealing for information.

A 20-year-old man from Beaconsfield was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and was released under investigation.

Investigating Officer Detective Constable Nathan Devlin said, “I appeal to all witnesses to come forward.

“It is believed that there was a verbal altercation between the victim and his friend and the offender inside the wards before the assault.

“If anyone saw or heard anything, or has images of the services at the time of the incident, please contact the police. You can call 101 or visit our website, citing survey reference 43210571163.

“If you do not wish to speak to the police, you can report it anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting Crimestoppers online.

“The victim suffered a horrific injury, with a piece of his nose torn off. He needed emergency surgery and may need another reconstructive surgery.
